Stories from a man who fails to meet media expectations of what it means to be gay:
white, frivolous, over sexed yet sexless, shrill, single, stylish, a clown, unimportant, et al.

rough plots
A couple of people have asked about what it was exactly that I read which resulted in the last entry/rant, so here are some very rough plots (with all due apologies to the authors):
1) A group of old friends (all gay white men, roughly 21-22, and all from families with $$$) get together and reminisce about their youth (apparently they are no longer young). Unfortunately, Big Bad Boy, who outed them all in high school and messed up their lives shows up. Their fun is spoiled. Fortunately, Big Bad Boy is now gay too, and sorry for what he did all those years ago. Which is a good thing, since protagonist boy has had a thing for Big Bad Boy all these years. They have sex. Love prevails. The end.
2) A super successful, very attractive, white, mid-twenties, gay guy in some sort of entertainment industry job living in Los Angeles, meets an even more attractive, gay, white, mid-twenties, conveniently wealthy man. They fall in love. An African-American limo driver gives some relationship advice, a Latina maid serves coffee, and successful guy's ex tries to do something, but no one cares. Successful guy and conveniently wealthy man decide to leave Los Angeles because it sucks. Inspired by these events, a 40-something, essentially eunuch, gay, white, rich couple decide to have sex while fantasizing about successful guy and conveniently wealthy man. Love prevails. The end.
3) An old, bitter, jaded, gay, white man (33?), who has given up on love becomes a murder suspect. Being set in Los Angeles, nearly everyone is mean, shallow, and no one can be trusted. Being set in Los Angeles, it rains constantly. Being set in Los Angeles, nearly everyone is white, except for a lone femmy, gay, Black man. The murder is solved. The old man gets a lover. The end.
4) Closeted, gay, teen, white boy (16?) meets an older (26?), gay, male relative and a gold digging woman of color. No one can recall if they are tall or short. A crime happens. Years later, the gay teen has become a jaded, burnt out, old (23?), gay man incapable of love. The end.
5) Two gay, white, late twenties, circuit party boys decide to go to Provence Town for the summer. A couple of gay Latino men and gay African-American men mill around in the background, but no one talks to them. Drugs are consumed. Two gay, white, late twenties, circuit party boys decide to have sex. Two gay, white, late twenties, circuit party boys decide that maybe they love each other. Two gay, white, late twenties, circuit party boys decide that they should become lovers, because they are friends and they getting too old to be circuit party boys. Love prevails. The end
6) A cute, gay, white man in New York is an unsuccessful writer/actor/playwright. He can't keep a boyfriend. Partially because he's a yutz, partially because his much more attractive and conveniently morally challenged, gay, white, male best friend keeps sleeping with them. Stuff happens. The end.
7) A group of gay, white, mid-twenties men are friends with each other and a lone femmy, gay, Black man. They spend time being bitchy with other. Stuff happens. They are slightly less bitchy with each other. The end.
8) A gay, white, teen boy comes out of the closet and has sex for the first time with another gay, white teen boy. Stuff happens. The gay, white, teen boy ends up sad, but hopeful for the future. The end.
