Jet
Jet cat was fourteen years old.
He had a long term problem with his ulcerated eye, and had occasional kidney problems, which John and I dealt with using a specialized diet. Jet was a tough guy, a tough cat. He was older, but he had been doing relatively well until last weekend.
He became sick, and after a couple days stay at the vets, they determined that there was little that they could do for him. His kidneys were failing.
We took Jet home so he could spend time in familiar surroundings, and after two days, when it was clear that he was in pain, we took him to the vet one last time so that he wouldn�t suffer anymore.
Some decisions, even when you know they are right, are very hard to make.
I tell myself that Jet had a long life, a good life, and that he is no longer in pain.
Jet was a good boy.
