One of the many things that I�ve neglected to write about is that I�ve been working on painting parts of the house. After a year of essentially being done, I�ve finally thrown on the paint effect I wanted onto the downstairs bathroom and now it�s almost essentially done. It just needs a couple of small touch ups to finally get ride of those pesky adjectives in front of the done.

Unfortunately, the bathroom somehow led to painting the hallway next to it, including the doors. Ugh. I hate those danged doors. Stripping the layers upon layers of paint from the bathroom walls and ceiling was a terror, though it probably resulted in a much larger room, I took so much off. I�m expecting something similar, where the doors will end up substantially smaller by the time I�m done.

I could have just added a new layer on top of the strata of pink, blue, tan, salmon, yellow, and chocolate brown but I didn�t feel like contributing to the previous owner�s poor paint job. If nothing else, no matter how bad a job I could possibly do, at least the doors won�t be covered with so many layers of drips that it looks as if someone attempted a textured painting technique.

Removing paint (and repatching poor keyhole cover attempts) is a task I could unhappily spend the next several weeks pecking at, except for something else I�ve failed to mention here. John�s having another photo show/party and the hallway I�ve been working in is right where guests will be coming in and out of the house for the restroom, so I�ve got to finish everything this week.

In case anyone has forgotten, the husband has a photo hobby/side business that due to the nature of his clients (primarily gay men wanting pics for personal ads), has a portfolio including quite a lot of nekked men shots. Some of which will end up on display this weekend.

Last year, two of the guests/models/clients disappeared down the hill for a while before rejoining the party covered in twigs n dust. I�ll be sure to share if anything as interesting occurs.
